After completing a five-year apprenticeship with one of the countries leading workshops, David has worked from leading piano manufacturers to world renowned artists.

As a technician with a top London company, David worked with all types of pianos from household instruments to concert standard.

From the mid eighties to the end of 2003, he worked as technical manager for HJ Fletcher & Newman Ltd. There he advised tuners & technicians worldwide, solving technical problems.

 

During his time with the company, he travelled the world lecturing and running technical classes/workshops for major companies, technical colleges and the professional bodies that regulate the industry.

In 2000, he was recognised for his achievement within the industry by the Institute of Musical Instrument Technology who elected him a Fellow of the Institute.

In 2006 he joined the Piano Tuners Association as a Technician Member.

Today he runs a successful piano business together with his wife, providing a service to the public and trade alike.
